World Computer Exchange is proud to support The Fixers and the Bluemind Foundation in their joint effort to expand access to mental health care in Lomé, Togo.
The Fixers is an international documentary series airing on BYUTV in the U.S. and Discovery International worldwide, reaching more than 65 million homes. Each episode follows a team of expert builders who partner with local organizations to create sustainable projects that uplift communities, from restoring a floating medical clinic in Cambodia to building schools in Zambia.
For their latest project, The Fixers are collaborating with the Bluemind Foundation. Founded in 2021 by Marie-Alix de Putter after the loss of her husband and her own experience with post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety, Bluemind has become a leading voice in destigmatizing mental health across Africa an organization.
As part of this initiative, The Fixers are helping renovate Bluemind’s facility to house Togo’s first mental health crisis call center, providing vital support for individuals in crisis. To empower this work, World Computer Exchange donated eight refurbished laptops last winter.. These laptops will allow counselors and volunteers to manage calls, track data, and provide digital access to mental health resources.
This partnership reflects WCE’s commitment to using technology to promote education, connection, and well-being around the world. Together, we’re helping create a future where digital tools make care and opportunity accessible to everyone, no matter where they live.
